Challenges of role model making in Iran according to an artist from Gilan region / Reza Zahedi: We are in dire need of role model training in the country.

Reza Zahedi, one of the activists in the field of fashion and clothing in Gilan province, told the HonarOnline reporter about the process of his activities: I started my career as a tailor in a workshop in 1979 and continued this profession continuously for more than 12 years. It was from 1990 that I specialized in the field of pattern making and sewing wedding dresses and then I expanded my activity to the field of men’s and women’s social wear.

Pointing out that in 1994 and 1997, Zahedi tried to strengthen his academic foundation in Tehran schools, he admitted: In these years, after completing fashion and clothing design courses, I managed to get an honorary degree and since those years, I have done teaching in various fields including pattern making and sewing.

This Gilani artist in the field of fashion and clothing continued to point out his focus on modeling in recent years and said: One of my most important experiences during all these years has been paying attention to the weakness in modeling among the activists of this field. . Ever since I seriously entered the field of gowns, I found that most seamstresses use ready-made patterns, which by the way, I did the same thing at first, but over time I realized that to sew a dress with a good fit, some Changed the patterns.

Zahedi added: Finding out about the body defects and features specific to the anatomy of people in different regions of Iran caused me to seriously think about presenting a new method in the field of pattern making and specific to the people of Iran, and based on the experiences gained in using all the existing methods, including I had Gerlavin, Metric and Muller, I designed a method based on the anatomy of the Iranian body, and I have been doing my activities and following the path of teaching for some time now.

Pointing out that during negotiations with the technical and professional organization, he demanded the recognition of this model, he stated: This innovative method has been under review by a commission in this organization for some time, and if it is approved and standardized, the ability will have teaching and training in this field.

In conclusion, Zahedi called for the support of government institutions as much as possible for innovative ideas and influenced by the experiences of activists in the field of fashion and clothing and said: if people from different parts of Iran claim that they can write a book in this field or a development in the path of education and creation create employment, they should be given the attention of government managers, and I hope that, based on this, in the coming years, we will see more and more attention to the scientific and practical capacities of the field of fashion and clothing in different provinces of the country.
